Jon Rahm’s Statement (LIV Golf Mexico)<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Q.<\/strong> Obviously, the two guys on the individual podium are close to you, Spanish, Arizona State. What do you take from seeing an all-Spanish Top 3 this week?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Jon Rahm:<\/strong> “I have spent a large part of the last two years with David Puig. We have the same fitness coach, the same swing coach, Spencer Tatum and Dave Phillips, and we are partners at the same clubs. I think I spend more time with him than with my wife or my kids. I’m not surprised to see him up there, nor the weekend he had. That’s why I kept my foot on the accelerator, because I know what he is capable of. Yesterday he shot -9 and today he was on his way to do it again. I had to prepare for that. Josele is someone who is not short on power. Someone so explosive and, at the same time, so calm in his personality that it is rare. I think he’s the only man to have won both the European Championship and the US Amateur. He certainly doesn’t lack talent. Obviously he has a little less experience as a professional, but he has already won and he can do it. Seeing those two men up there, two friends, makes me want to beat them even more, but also to be cautious because I know exactly what they are capable of.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
