La Cala Resort, in Mijas (Málaga), will host the tournament that will once again close the Ladies European Tour (LET) season from 26 to 29 November.

La Cala Resort: Official Venue for the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2026

The change of venue nonetheless maintains a consistent commitment to Andalucía and the Costa del Sol as the natural home of the tournament, reinforcing the bond between the women’s Open de España and one of the most acclaimed golf destinations in Europe — both for the quality of its courses and its organisational capacity. In this context, Mijas is establishing itself as one of the key golf hubs on the Costa del Sol, with a solid offering and a long tradition tied to the sport.

The Europa Course: Strategy and Precision to Decide the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España

The championship will be played on the Europa Course, one of three courses designed by Cabell B. Robinson at this renowned complex. The layout stands out for its strategic character and for demanding precision in approach shots rather than power off the tee. It is a balanced course where the tee shot clearly dictates the options on each hole, largely due to well-protected and undulating greens with slopes that require careful reading.

The Ojén River is an integral part of the course and its presence on several holes, combined with elevated tees and changes of direction throughout the layout, demands great precision from the players, blending holes where an aggressive approach pays off with others where course management will be key. In this sense, the Europa Course shapes up as a very fair setting for a season finale, where consistency and control tend to make the difference.

Statements: Pride and Commitment to Top-Level Golf

Antonio Díaz, Managing Director of Turismo Costa del Sol, stated: “It is a great honour for the province of Málaga to once again host an event of this magnitude, which will once more make us the epicentre of all eyes in the world of golf.”

Sean Corte-Real, General Manager of La Cala Resort, said: “It is a privilege to host the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España and to welcome the LET season finale to our facilities. This tournament represents the excellence of European women’s golf and fits perfectly with our commitment to offering first-class experiences, both on and off the course.”

On the course design, Corte-Real added: “The Europa Course will present a very complete challenge for the players, where strategy, precision and decision-making will be decisive. We are confident that, together with our facilities and the quality of the destination, we will provide an ideal setting for the season finale of an event of this scale.”

La Cala Resort: The Largest Integrated Golf Offering in Spain

Widely recognised on the international golf scene, La Cala stands out for the scale and quality of its offering: three 18-hole championship courses and a 9-hole par-3 Short Course, totalling 63 holes and the largest integrated golf offering in a single resort in Spain. This is complemented by a comprehensive hotel, dining, wellness, real estate and lifestyle proposition.

Nastasia Nadaud: Defending Champion

The 2025 edition was won by French player Nastasia Nadaud, who at 21 years old claimed her first victory on the European circuit and put on an outstanding display over the weekend to become the youngest player ever to win the Open.

The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho will once again bring together the best players on the European circuit in the race for the title and to close the season on a high, in a week always defined by the competitive tension of a grand finale. With this new venue, the tournament enters an edition with a very distinct course profile, where strategy, precision and course management will define the outcome at the decisive stage of the European women’s golf season.

For all the latest news on Andalusian golf and the Open de España, visit our Andalucía golf news section.

La Cala Resort in Mijas will host the 2026 Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España from 26–29 November, closing the Ladies European Tour season on the Europa Course.

[125

post-32495","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
