Andalucía’s oldest golf club, Bellavista (inaugurated in 1916), will be the host venue in Huelva for the launch of this year’s Andalucía Golf Challenge-Destination Dominican Republic PGA Ocean’s 4 Bahía Príncipe Circuit.
This 12th edition of this hugely popular open amateur circuit, organised by Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine, comprises 28 tournaments plus the final. The Circuit will cover the Andalucian provinces of Málaga, Cádiz, Almería, Sevilla and Granada, in addition to Madrid, Segovia and Salamanca, with most of the events being held on the Costa del Sol.
The Circuit’s final, which will determine the five winners of trips to the Dominican Republic, will be played on 24 September at a Costa del Sol course still to be confirmed.
Access to the final will be direct for the winners of each category and the leading scratch player in all the qualifying tournaments, while the rest of the places in the final – up to 100 players – will be awarded based on the Benahavís Ranking, calculated from points obtained in each leg.
The Circuit’s grand finale will decide the winners of five one-week, all-inclusive trips to the Bahía Príncipe Luxury Bouganville ***** hotel, with golf at the spectacular PGA Ocean’s 4, Teeth of the Dog and Punta Espada courses. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the final will travel to the Dominican Caribbean.
The Bellavista Golf Club tournament will offer major prizes for the scratch winner and top three finishers in each category, as well as for the longest drive (male and female) and ball closest to the pin. There will be a shotgun start at 9.30 am. Registration for the tournament is €50 euros (€35 for members), and includes a cocktail reception and prize draw.

GOLF COURSE DESCRIPTION
Bellavista Golf Club is located six kilometres from Huelva capital and three kilometres from the sea, which can be viewed from the course. The course features narrow fairways, several dog-legs and numerous sand hazards on the back nine. Among its most difficult holes, the 7th particularly stands out: a par-4 that requires a solid drive to ensure an uncomplicated approach shot to a Bermuda green in exceptional condition – like all the greens on the course.
