The beautiful course of Cerrado del Águila has successfully hosted the third event of the Mijas Sol & Golf Circuit. Sponsored by the Mijas Town Hall in an initiative of the Mijas Golf Courses Association, this first edition of the Circuit consists of five tournaments plus a final, which will be played on August 24th at Mijas Golf Los Lagos, followed by a gala dinner at La Zambra Hotel.

The course was in very good condition and pleasantly surprised the first time players.
The prize giving ceremony was attended by the director of Cerrado del Águila Golf & Resort, Marco Civiero, and the Councillor for Tourism of Mijas Town Hall, Francisco Jerez.
There were prizes on all par 3 courses, where those who left the ball closest to the flag received a case of San Miguel beer, a partner brand of the Circuit.
The best classified in Cerrado del Águila get a place to play the final, where the prizes of seven vouchers to play for a whole year the courses of the Circuit will be decided, which in addition to Cerrado del Águila and Mijas Golf are Chaparral, La Cala, La Noria and Miraflores.
Another particularity of the Circuit is the support given to women's golf, so that a special ladies' category is established, which gives access to the final to the two best classified in the special ladies' category who are not in the general prizes. The same is done with the best female players, establishing a special scratch prize.
In this way, nine players from each tournament qualify for the grand final on Saturday 24th August. The Mijas Sol & Golf Circuit has as another of its hallmarks the fact that the qualifying rounds are played on alternate Fridays during the summer months, which makes it a very enjoyable event and the best way to start a weekend.
The next Circuit event is on the 19th of July at La Noria.
