
Noemi Jimenez continues to reap success in the United States and on this occasion she has achieved a brilliant victory at the Regionals of the University League Regionals (NCAA). The golfer from Malaga took the victory in the West Regionalswhich were played in three rounds at the Tumble Creek Club Tumble Creek Club (Washington).
The player federated by the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina (San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella), who started the last day from third place, came back with a card of 72 strokes for a total of -3 (67+74+72).
In addition to the individual victory, Noemí Jiménez was instrumental in helping her university, Arizona State, finish third and qualify for the National Final.
With this victory, Noemí Jiménez wins her third NCAA title and becomes the first Arizona State player to win the Regionals since Carlota Ciganda (2009).
On the other hand, the Andalusian Carmen Laguna (Minnesota) in the Central Zone preliminaries, and Lourdes Lopez (East Tennessee) and Rocio Sanchez (Georgia) in the East Zone, did not make it to the Nationals, which will be held May 20-23 in Tulsa (Oklahoma).
Noemí Jiménez has always been a great follower of Azahara Muñoz, with whom she has in common, among other things, the fact that she also studied at the RCG Guadalmina and that both chose Arizona State University to pursue their studies.
