The tournament at La Monacilla marked another stop on the SAN MIGUEL XVI ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE CIRCUIT COSTA DEL SOL DESTINATION DOMINICAN REPUBLIC BY GLOBALIA, which returned for the fourth consecutive year to this outstanding course in Huelva designed by José María Olazábal.
Despite the rainfall in the days leading up to the event, the course was presented in perfect condition for golf thanks to its excellent drainage — a hallmark of the Basque designer’s layouts. These conditions even allowed the free use of buggies throughout the day, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable competition.
Refreshments, cocktail reception and tastings at La Monacilla
After the round, participants enjoyed a cocktail reception at the Clubhouse featuring an exquisite rice dish prepared by Nandi, showcasing the high culinary standards achieved by La Monacilla’s kitchen in a region where fine gastronomy is one of its strongest attractions.
Throughout the day, both on the course and during the cocktail, players were refreshed with San Miguel beers and Solán de Cabras water. In addition, guests took part in a tasting of SEVIROL, the new refreshing spritz made with bitter orange and Andalusian orange blossom, which was very well received by attendees.

The prize-giving ceremony was hosted by La Monacilla’s CEO, Ricardo Bescansa, who also claimed victory as the tournament’s scratch winner.
The winners of each category, together with the scratch champion, earn a direct place in the Circuit Final. The remaining spots will be filled by the highest-ranked players, including any vacancies that may arise due to withdrawals from previously qualified participants.
