Playing at one of Europe’s finest courses while enjoying the pleasures of luxury accommodation would satisfy most golfers’ ultimate wish list. Make that three courses – all internationally acclaimed – and we might think we are dreaming.

But no need to pinch ourselves: La Reserva Club has announced an exclusive “Sotogrande Classic” winter stay-and-play package with neighbours Royal Valderrama and Royal Sotogrande.

“For the first time ever,” according to the club, visitors will be able to play the three courses while staying at the four-star Hotel Almenara for a discounted package fee.

All three courses are set within eight kilometres of each another in Sotogrande, an area in San Roque municipality that attracts golfers from around the world drawn by premium golf amenities as well as incomparable weather and other stunning leisure facilities.

Opened in 2003, La Reserva Club is an 18-hole, 7,400 yard championship layout that has quickly become a firm favourite of golfers, having hosted the European Tour’s NH Collection Open in 2014, which featured Ryder Cup stars Andy Sullivan, Chris Wood and Thomas Pieters.

Valderrama hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup, among numerous other top international events over the past three decades, and is the venue this October for the Andalucía Valderrama Masters on the European Tour (co-hosted by the Sergio García Foundation).

Royal Sotogrande is a Robert Trent Jones masterpiece and has hosted the world’s best golfers, including Seve Ballesteros and Rory McIlroy, who have both won events at the course.

The Sotogrande Classic package will be launched in September with prices starting at €929 based on three nights at Hotel Almenara in a double superior room with breakfast, and three green fees – one at each of the courses. There are also packages available for five nights comprising three rounds.

Bookings are currently being taken up to December 2017, only available through La Reserva Club.
