“Greenlife Golf is a course that offers something for everyone”

It is one of the Costa del Sol’s most attractive nine-hole courses. Located in Elviria, a stunningly picturesque part of Marbella, Greenlife Golf – as manager Victoria Domínguez notes – offers something for everyone.

Also delighting visitors with discerning palates is the haute cuisine at its clubhouse restaurant, El Lago, which has been recognised with a Michelin star since 2005. Of course, during the day guests can enjoy all kinds of food at the clubhouse, including tasty sandwiches… and all at an excellent price.

Domínguez, who has been manager for the last few months, highlights Greenlife Golf’s “charm and privileged setting”. She says it is “a very enjoyable course to play, and not easy just because it is a par-nine. It is in fact quite a challenge. I believe it is an interesting destination for beginners, families with children who play golf, seniors who don’t want to play 18 holes, people who want to enjoy other leisure activities during their holidays, who have limited time, or those who play golf during the week after work.”

Women golfers interested in checking out this Marbella course have a special reason to do so at least one day a week. “On Wednesdays we have a women’s day (green fees at half price for them), to encourage women to play golf.

“We pay meticulous attention to the details,” says Domínguez,” something that has always been a strong point at the par-three club; small improvements that make a difference, such as taking as much care as possible with the surroundings and offering excellent service to clients.”

Other key amenities at the club include a practice range, where improvements have been carried out to have it in top shape for the summer season.

Youngsters also have a special place at Greenlife Golf. “This holiday season we will have a children’s summer camp at the academy. This is our nursery for young players, where we instil in them a passion for golf. We have a new team of PGA professionals who work with clients of all nationalities and can help players improve their swing in a short space of time – they have brought many new and innovative ideas with them.”

Another service available at Greenlife Golf is its own accommodation facilities, with 15 fully-equipped apartments and two spectacular suites. These amenities received the Guest Review Award for 2016. “Clients have recognised our efforts: passion and dedication,” says Domínguez.

The complex also has two clay tennis courts, and a renowned tennis academy.

In addition to El Lago restaurant, the clubhouse offers a gymnasium with impressive views over the lake, a sauna and a massage service by prior reservation.
