Golf professionals compete in Valle Romano at the Gecko Pro Tour

The 2012/2013 edition of the Gecko Euro Pro Tour, a championship that brings together European golf professionals competing in the best courses on the Costa del Sol, including Valle Romano Golf, kicked off on November 20.

The appointment at the Estepona course corresponds to number 3 of the circuit and will take place in a double day: December 4 and 5. 70 golf professionals, including the Technical Director of the Valle Romano Golf School, Gabriel Cañizares, will play the 18 holes of the course. Tee times will be every 10 minutes starting at 8:30 a.m.

The first tournament held at Torrequebrada Golf ended with a Spanish flavor thanks to the triumph of Raúl Quirós with a score of -13. Professionals Gabriel Cañizares and Carlos Rodiles closed the day tied at -8 along with British James Mccormick who obtained the same score. The second round, held at Finca Cortesín on November 27 and 28, saw Gabriel Cañizares again in third place with a score of +6, after a first and second round of 78 and 72 strokes, respectively.

The Gecko Euro Pro Tour, which will continue with more events in 2013, will return to Valle Romano Golf in a new 3-day event, between February 22 and 24. The Grand Final will be on March 19 at the Valderrama golf course.
