Almenara Golf Hotel has hosted the Final of the NH RESORTS Circuit played at 27 holes in the Pinos, Alcornoques and Lagos courses. More than 60 players from all over Spain enjoyed a great day of golf playing a 27-hole tournament, thanks to the 3 courses offered by Almenara Golf in Sotogrande.
Esther Juárez Villar was the winner of the first category, while in second place was Pedro Díaz, followed by Juan Perales Orpella. In the second category it was Domingo Martín Sánchez who led the classification, followed by Eva Mozas Ramírez and Tomás Lahoz, who was third.
In addition, special prizes were awarded to the closest flag on hole 2 of Alcornoques to Pedro Díaz, on hole 7 of Lagos to Rafael Acevedo, and on hole 7 of Pinos to Antonio Peruga. As for the longest drive, the longest drive on hole 6 of Pinos went to Saad Azzam, the longest drive on hole 9 of Alcornoques and the longest drive on hole 9 of Lagos went to Ricardo Sole.
The players not only enjoyed the golf, but the Tournament had a double refreshment area and a VIP area which, at the end of the 27 holes, was a meeting point to discuss the best shots of the day, before the gala dinner where the awards were presented and which all players and their companions could enjoy.
Illustrious players such as the journalist Luis del Olmo and his wife enjoyed the spectacular greens of Almenara: “Playing 27 holes has been a challenge…I will never forget it” commented the brilliant journalist. Jordi Caralt, Director of NH Resorts, commented on the originality of the format: “We wanted to offer something different to our guests, something original and fun, in addition to the fact that they could get to know the spectacular 3 courses we have in Almenara, and less than 20 meters from the hotel reception”.
II NH Resorts National Circuit
In its second edition, the NH Resorts National Circuit has covered the national geography with races in Montanya-Barcelona, La Herrería-Madrid, El Bosque-Valencia, Retamares-Madrid, Basozabal-San Sebastián, Pineda-Seville, La Dehesa-Madrid and El Prat-Barcelona.
An average of 200 players per course have participated in this second edition of the Circuit, with which NH Resorts demonstrates its commitment to this sport and its practitioners: “Golf is a fundamental part of the leisure offer of our resorts, and as such we are committed to taking our product to the best courses in Spain so that our members can see first-hand the quality we offer in our hotel and restaurant facilities”, he says.
