Spanish and Moroccan golfers compete in a pro-am in Tangier

A large group of Spanish players went to Tangier from November 13 to 15 to participate in a pro am organized by the Royal Golf Club of Tangier, which celebrated its centenary last year.

The tournament had a promotional character and was promoted by the CRT of Tangier and Tetouan (Regional Tourism Council). Among the Spanish players who traveled to Morocco were Ignacio del Cuvillo, director of R. C. de Golf de Guadalmina, Luis Navarro, director of Rio Real, Stefan Tjellander, from Holiday Golf, Alfonso Agulló, from Le Club, Bruno Ribera, from Wellness Golf, Javier Burgués, director of Casino de Marbella, Paul Neale, tour operator, Enrique Escudero, from Riversa, golf professional Peter Gustafsson and Antonio Sánchez from Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine.

The tournament was also attended, of course, by a large group of Moroccan amateurs and professionals from that country.

The Spaniards, in general, did a superb job and had good results in the game, but perhaps more important than this was the pleasant weekend spent in the neighboring city of Tangier and the generous hospitality of the hosts.
