Noemí Jiménez, Gecko Tour stage on her way to LPGA Tour

The young Spanish amateur Noemí Jiménez is one of the outstanding participants in the fourth round of the Gecko Tour to be held at the Marbella Club Golf Resort between Tuesday and Thursday.

The golfer from Malaga has chosen the Gecko as the perfect testing ground to prepare for the LPGA Tour School Final, the American Women’s Tour, which will take place in December in Florida.

Jiménez, trained in Guadalmina, the same course as the great Spanish professional, Azahara Muñoz, is one of the best amateurs in the world, with several victories in the U.S. NCAA defending the colors of Arizona State University. She is one of the great hopes for the future of Spanish golf and hopes to make a place for herself in the top elite of world golf.

The girls are protagonists this week, as we will also find in the tournament Carmen Alonso, veteran professional of the Ladies European Tour, or Mayte Vizcarrondo, another young value of Andalusian golf. In short, a powerful and varied representation of the best of Spanish women’s golf.

Another important name at the Marbella Club Golf Resort will be Mark Tullo. The Chilean professional, a regular on the European Tour and the Challenge has his residence on the Costa del Sol and has opted for the Gecko to prepare strongly for the next campaign. In addition to Tullo, Gabriel Cañizares, who comes from being second in the Order of Merit of the Mena Tour, Carlos Rodiles, Eirik Tage Johansen, Marcos Pastor or Alfonso Gutiérrez, the last two winners of the Gecko.

A total of 75 players will take part in the tournament. After the second round, a cut will be established with the top twenty players and ties.
