On October 12, Alfredo Ramiro Oregui, director of Santa María Golf Club, passed away. He was a man very dear to all of us who knew him.
Alfredo dedicated practically his entire working life to this golf course in Marbella, to which he was linked practically since its inauguration and to which he dedicated thirty years, the first fifteen years as financial director and the following years as golf director.
“For Alfredo,” recalls Santa Maria Golf Club CEO Ali M. Saudi, “this club was an essential part of his life. He was dedicated to his work like few others.
“With everyone,” he continues, “I had a great relationship, with members, with club employees, with our president and board of directors, with our clients…. I am sure that we all appreciated him very much. He was a personable, honest, dedicated to his work…. For me he was a ‘real Spanish gentleman’. We will always remember him.
