Ana Peláez, new ambassador for Finca Cortesín

Finca Cortesín, the official venue of the 2023 Solheim Cup, celebrates six months before the competition with the new appointment of Spanish Ladies European Tour (LET) professional Ana Peláez Triviño as the resort’s new ambassador.
The LET star reinforces Finca Cortesin’s support for women’s sports, as well as highlighting its position as one of the world’s finest quality lifestyle destinations.
A native of the Costa del Sol, Pelaez has stood out on the circuit over the last year for her technical ability and precision in her game, having achieved victory at the Madrid Ladies Open in May 2022.

The Spaniard, who turned 25 yesterday, is considered one of Spain’s most promising players and aspires to be part of Suzann Pettersen’s European team in September. Her impressive start to the 2023 season, with three top 10s in recent weeks, has placed her in the Top 100 of the Rolex Women’s World Ranking and third on the LET Solheim Cup points list.

“It is an incredible opportunity to represent Finca Cortesin and have their unconditional support as I play week in and week out on the Ladies European Tour. To be able to play regularly and train at the 2023 Solheim Cup venue is an incredible experience and one that will undoubtedly help me advance my career,” said Pelaez. “The resort has a great track record of supporting local women and girls in the industry by providing them with the conditions they need to succeed.”

Vicente Rubio, CEO and President of Finca Cortesin, said: “Finca Cortesin is delighted to welcome Ana as an ambassador for the resort. Considered one of the best promises of Spanish women’s golf, we are delighted that she will represent us on the Tour in different destinations around the world. Having Ana as an ambassador for the resort will not only help us to further consolidate our position as a Solheim Cup venue, but will also help to promote golf to the next generation of Spanish golfers.
“The resort looks forward to working together with Ana to showcase the importance of hosting the Solheim Cup in Spain for the first time in history. As the host of the event, we are committed to providing her with the opportunities and conditions necessary to compete for a spot on the European team this September.”

Peláez will represent Finca Cortesin on the circuit alongside other LET players and current ambassadors Nuria Iturrioz and Noemí Jiménez Martín. In addition to the professional ambassadors, the resort went a step further last year by making Marta Figueras-Dotti, current President of the Ladies European Tour, an honorary member coinciding with the “One Year to Go” until the Solheim Cup.

Recognized among the best courses in Spain, the course designed by Cabell Robinson, with its newly redesigned hole 1; a par 4 that offers the possibility of reaching the green with the tee shot over a large lake that protects it; will host the greatest women’s golf show in history between September 18 and 24.
