For the third consecutive year Andalucía Golf/España Golf is organizing a golf circuit to be played next summer at five of the best golf courses on the Costa del Sol, which are also some of the best in Spain.
This exclusive and small tour brings together, due to the courses where it is played and the important prizes it is endowed with, numerous amateurs of very different nationalities: Spanish, British, Nordic, German, Russian, etc.
After three years, the circuit has undoubtedly consolidated and generates a great expectation among players. This year we have some important new features: Onda Cero will be the official broadcaster of the tour; Turkish Airlines will provide flights to Turkey and other parts of the world for the winners of each tournament; Somontano wines will give away their best wines to all participants; and there will be dozens of prizes in golf equipment offered by Holiday Golf. Plus many other additional gifts.
The courses where the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2013 will be played are Finca Cortesín, on July 13; Rio Real on July 27; Marbella Club on August 16 and 17; Flamingos Golf, on August 25; and the grand finale at Valderrama, with a date yet to be determined.
All of them are considered five-star courses and most of them have hosted European Tour events on occasion.
There is no need to highlight the merits of Valderrama, selected for decades as the best course in Continental Europe, host on sixteen occasions of Volvo Masters, the first Ryder Cup played outside Great Britain and two American Express World Championships. Finca Cortesin, on the other hand, hosted the Volvo Match Play World Championship two years ago; and Flamingos Golf has hosted several senior and women’s tournaments on the Tour. Marbella Club and Rio Real also stand out for their high quality of design, maintenance and services. They are two classics of Andalusian golf. Dave Thomas and Javier Arana, the best Spanish golf architect of all time, left their mark on them, respectively.
This is a circuit open to any amateur who wants to opt to play the grand finale at Valderrama, to get an international trip or to renew their golf equipment and accessories.
