The players of the Real Club de Campo de Málaga, Blanca Hermana, Teresa Torrejón and Jun Mori, have been proclaimed champions in the Andalucía Interclubs Women’s Championship, which has been played over two days at the Villa Padierna Golf Club facilities.

After adding yesterday a total of 170 strokes to the 166 they accumulated the day before during the first round, the Real Club de Campo de Málaga team has won by 18 strokes ahead of Mª Dolores Ruiz and the sisters Aurora and Mª José Hidalgo -members of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina B team- who have occupied the second position.

The champions have thus maintained the lead they had already achieved on Wednesday, thanks to the 81 strokes delivered by Blanca Hermana, which earned her the prize for the best round of the first day. During the second day, Aurora Hidalgo -with 80 strokes- was the author of the best round.

As for the handicap classifications, the first classified team -with 303 net strokes- was the representative of the Real Club Pineda de Sevilla, formed by Capilla Milla, Rosario Conde and María Coello de Portugal, author of the best handicap round of the first day.

Second place, with 309, went to the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina A team, made up of Ana Mª García, Rosa Mª Sánchez and Ana Alcalde.

The list of winners was completed by the Antequera Golf player, Amparo Piña, who has signed the best handicap round of the day.

After the competition, the awards ceremony was attended by Antonio Lantero, Director of Villa Padierna Golf Club; María Murillo, member of the Women’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; and Alberto Bueno, Chief Referee of the tournament.

Sixteen teams played 36 holes under individual Stroke Play Scratch in two consecutive days, playing 18 holes each day and counting the best two cards in each one of them.
