Atalaya Old hosted the first Andalucía Golf Tournament of 2018.

The Old Course of Atalaya Golf, which this year celebrates its golden anniversary, was the setting for the first of the 2018 Andalucía Golf Tournaments. Although the weather conditions were not ideal, with strong gusts of wind and moments of rain, the participants generally showed a high level of sportsmanship and some outstanding results.

The awards ceremony took place at the clubhouse restaurant, where a splendid paella was tasted. The ceremony was conducted by Antonio Sándhez, editor of Andalucía Golf / España Golf, and Gabriela Johne, executive of the fairway + blue store in Puerto Banús, main sponsor of the tournament together with Holiday Golf Distribution and Holiday Golf Insurance.

In addition to beautiful trophies, the first three classified in each category were rewarded with clothes of recognized brands from the fairway+blue store. There were also special prizes for the closest ball to the flag, for the longest drive and for the best scratch score, which was awarded with a painting by the prestigious painter Alejandro Hermann.

3. Enrique Herrera García (36 – beat Antonio Flores Simón on countback thanks to lower handicap)

3. Mike Christopher (35 – higher handicap)

Scratch:

1. Enrique Herrera García (31 points)
2. Francisco José Pérez Holgado (30)
3. Pedro Miguel Cevey Mendoza (28)
