
The Baviera Golf team, formed by Jaqueline Viles, Karin Ockerse and Jennifer Anne Tootell, has won the International Women’s Interclub Championship of Andalusia, which has been played at Torrequebrada Golf, after having topped the standings since yesterday, after the celebration of the first day.
The Bavarian players finished yesterday in first place thanks to the 86 strokes of Jaqueline Viles, the best scratch round of the first day. In this second round, the team has again demonstrated its superiority and won the title with 176 strokes, for a cumulative 355.
The second position went to the Guadalhorce team formed by Mª Pilar van Dulken, Blanca Hermana and Jun Mori, who also maintained the position they had already achieved on the first day, finishing 7 strokes behind the winners.
Moving on to the handicap classification, the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina team, formed by Ana Alcalde, Ana Mª Ibáñez and Rosa Sánchez was the best classified with a total of 332 net strokes. In second place in this classification handicap have been Amparo Piña, Cristina Carreira and Enriqueta Ruiz, Antequera Golf, with 335 net strokes.
Individually, in addition to Jaqueline Viles as best scratch round of the first day, were awarded Blanca Hermana as best scratch round of the second day with 87 strokes; Cristina Carreira, best handicap round of the first day with 76 strokes; and Yolanda Shimpf, best handicap round of the second day with 74 strokes.
The distribution of prizes was attended by Ignacio Iturbe, Provincial Delegate of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation in Malaga and Deputy President; Candelaria Flores, President of the Women’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Francisco Ruiz, Manager of Golf Torrequebrada; and Diego Molina, chief referee of the tournament.
