Next September will take place the first edition of a unique amateur golf event: the Costa Blanca Pride Open. The weekend of September 9 and 10, coinciding with the celebration of Benidorm Pride, the Meliá Villaitana Golf Club will host this amateur golf tournament aimed at the LGBT community.
The event will have many attractions for all participants. Golf professional Marta Figueras-Dotti, a pioneer in the international circuits at professional level, is the ambassador of the tournament: “I am very excited that Deporte & Business has chosen me as ambassador of the tournament. I encourage all golfers to participate in it, I think it will be a very fun event. The tournament is aimed at the LGBT community, but the participation of any fan will help to normalize this group in society and especially in the world of golf”.
The tournament will have singles and doubles categories, and as an alternative option, an initiation clinic will be held throughout the weekend.
The Costa Blanca Pride Open is supported by Benidorm Pride, Benidorm Tourism, Costa Blanca Tourism and the Valencian Tourism Agency.
