A new stage begins for Chaparral Golf Club, one of the most attractive courses on the Costa del Sol, located in the municipality of Mijas in the middle of a lush pine forest and with the Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop.
In 1991 the first sketches of this golf course, destined to change the concept of quality within the variety of golf courses on the Costa del Sol, were launched. A Spanish-British consortium had a great vision of the future when they entrusted the design to the renowned golf course architect Pepe Gancedo, from Malaga, who put all his wisdom into these demanding and attractive 18 holes that have ended up making a difference for their quality and layout.
In 2003, the businessman Antonio Rubio acquired the golf course and decided to involve Gancedo again to redesign it and, thus, its new opening was celebrated on February 28, 2006.
Time has passed and Chaparral Golf Club has surpassed its own expectations, creating an internationally known golf product, located in a privileged place between Malaga and Marbella, designed for those people who are committed to quality of life.
The club has exceptional facilities and training areas. The clubhouse, with a marked Andalusian architecture, is a beautiful white-walled farmhouse with wooden ceilings and balustrades. In addition, its large terrace has wonderful views to enjoy the privileged climate of the Costa del Sol.
The practice area has a putting green of 1,000 square meters accompanied by short game and practice bunker areas, making Chaparral Golf Club one of the most complete driving ranges on the Costa del Sol.
Several investments have recently been made to renovate and improve the facilities in order to enhance the customer experience for members and visitors. The last investment undertaken has served to completely renovate the upper and lower part of the driving range. In the upper part, a 70-meter long running tee line has been installed, manufactured with the best materials on the market. The chosen variety of turf is Tee Turf PA XL, made of top quality nylon (polyamides).
Soon, Chaparral Golf will incorporate the latest interactive technology with the Toptracer system, cameras that will be mounted around the facility to provide golfers with accurate, live shot data including: distance, speed, tee angle, trajectory and more after each shot. The data is instantly displayed on the twenty-one-inch monitors that will be located in each stall. This exciting technology gives golfers and non-golfers alike the opportunity to experience the game in a modern way, whether they are looking to use the driving range for practice or compete in games and challenges with friends.
Another novelty is the Lounge Bar built next to the 9th hole, which has become one of the most valued areas by members and clients, the perfect place to take a short break enjoying the Mediterranean breeze and climate.

Chaparral Golf Membership
With the continuous improvements in the course and the rest of the facilities, Chaparral Golf Club has the vocation to become one of the most select clubs in the town of Mijas.
Once the projection of the offer of these new rights of use and the option to take advantage of the advantageous conditions for 5 or 10 years is activated in March, this offer will be limited to only 150 unit members, making it a great opportunity to be part of this great social club.
