El Paraíso on its 50th Anniversary, luxury venue of the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit

On its 50th anniversary, El Paraíso was once again the perfect host for the circuit players who enjoyed a course in excellent condition and a truly unbeatable atmosphere and treatment.

The design of the legendary Gary Player is one of the most varied and interesting of the Costa del Sol, but also the constant improvements that have been made in view of its fiftieth anniversary with the impetus of a committed Board of Directors and the good work of the general manager David Ramos, make it one of the most attractive.

Proof of this is that, playing on a Thursday, the places were sold out on that same Monday, completing 168 players who gathered early in the morning.

There were quite a few players who preferred to play on foot, as the course was perfect for this, even though it was a very hot day. This did not affect the pace of play, which was perfectly controlled by the club staff.

The coordination was perfect on the part of operations manager Robert Hall.

Another special mention must be made for the excellent treatment of the catering service led by Miguel Ramos.

After this tournament, only two opportunities will remain to qualify for the September 30 Final in Almenara (Sotogrande) and opt for one of five all-expenses-paid golf trips, flying with Air Europa to Cancun and staying at the five-star Grand Tulum in Bahia Principe to play PGA Riviera Maya, Mayakoba El Camaleon and Playa Paraiso.

These last two tournaments are on Saturday, September 2 at Estepona Golf and the following Saturday, September 9 at La Hacienda Alcaidesa Heathland.

The XIIIAndalucía Golf Challenge ‘Destino PGA Riviera Maya by Bahía Príncipe’ is an open amateur circuit organized by the Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine that travels through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as others in central Spain, with most of the events taking place on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, where the five winners of the trips to the Mexican Caribbean will be played on September 30 in Almenara and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banus in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on the Ranking Benahavís prepared from the points obtained in each event.

The next and last three dates of the Tour are September 2 at Estepona Golf and September 9 at La Hacienda Alcaidesa Heathland.

The Grand Final of the Circuit will determine the five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Bahia Principe resort in Riviera Maya with golf at PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleon Mayakoba and Playa Paraiso. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on September 30 in Almenara, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean.
