The Electoral Commission of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation has called for elections to the Sports Associations Section of the General Assembly of the federative body. Voting will take place on September 1. This complies with the decision of the Administrative Court No. 5 of Seville, which last December estimated the existence of electoral fraud in the 2012 elections to that body. With this ruling and the recent call for elections, Justice is in favor of Aloha Golf Club.

BACKGROUND
After the voting was held in July 2012 to form the General Assembly of the federative body, the Aloha Golf Club denounced before the Administrative Court the existence of errors in the electoral roll, which had included at least two clubs (Doñana Club de Golf and Club de Golf Benalmádena) which, at the date the elections were called, were not registered in the Federation.
The plaintiff added in his appeal that these clubs -being aware of the error- had participated in the elections, voting and presenting their candidacies, even Doñana Club de Golf being elected member of the Assembly of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation by the list proposed by the opposing candidacy to the current President, Ángel de la Riva, thereby altering the result of elections of a body to which they did not belong at the date of publication of the census.
At the end of 2014, the Contentious Administrative Court upheld the lawsuit filed by Aloha and declared the existence of electoral fraud and fraudulent intent on the part of these clubs which, knowing that they had been disqualified, altered the democratic rules of the elections by presenting their candidacies and voting.
In doing so, it also declared the nullity of the electoral procedure with regard to this category, whose votes were held on July 6, 2012 at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, and will now be repeated, with the new call and publication of the new census.
