
The Boy, Girl, Cadet, Infantile, Alevín and Benjamín de Andalucía Circuit has put the finishing touch to its 2013 season with the dispute of the Grand Final of the II Phase in the Costa del Sol course of Doña Julia Golf Club. A total of 114 players, aged between 8 and 18 years, came together in this event that closes the program of activities organized by the Youth and Children’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation during the current year.
Once again, the promising Andalusian golfers have shown their enormous potential and good proof of this have been the 72 strokes (+1) signed by Lucio Winckley (Infantil Masculino) and Luis Montoya López (Cadete Masculino), or the 73 of Ana Peláez Triviño (Cadete Femenino), which have allowed them to savor the last victory in their corresponding classifications.
Pedro Marín Santander, winner in the Alevín Male category with a good round of 75 strokes (+4), also had an outstanding performance.
In the Girl category, Laura Gómez Ruiz was unbeatable to add another success to her brilliant record.
The victories of Marta López de Alda Muñoz (Infantil Femenino), Marta López de Alda Muñoz (Infantil Femenino) and Marta López de Alda Muñoz (Infantil Femenino) were closer. and Carlota Bascuas Clemente (Alevín Femenino). In both classifications it was necessary to resort to the tiebreaker formulas, as in the Boy category, where José Mateo Mateo Mateo said goodbye to the Youth Circuit with an emotional triumph.
As for the juniors, Ana Amalia Pina Ortega and Alberto Collado García were the most successful players with rounds of 43 and 46 strokes, respectively.
Winners of the Andalusian Ranking
Regarding the winners of the Andalusian Ranking in this second phase of the competition, Pedro Marín (Alevín Masculino), Laura Gómez (Girl) and Ana Peláez (Cadete Femenino) rounded off their excellent day with this second award.
Luis Montoya (Cadet Boys) also received a double award, although in this case the trophy as most regular player was shared, after tying on 58 points, with Victor Bjorlow and Calvin John Greschner.
In the Boys’ category, Ignacio Gómez Osuna, thanks to a card of 75 strokes, managed to climb to first place with a total of 47 points, while Antonio Cruz-Conde Rodríguez-Guerra (Boy), certified his first position with the 18 points obtained in this last event.
Regarding the remaining rankings, Marta López Echevarría (Benjamín Femenino), Sara García Real (Infantil Femenino), Daniel Casas Bagherian (Benjamín Masculino), and Mimi Rhodes (Alevín Femenino) repeated the first place already achieved in the I Phase of this Boy, Girl, Cadete, Infantil, Alevín and Benjamín de Andalucía 2013 Circuit.
And as an epilogue to this Andalusian junior golf party, the awards ceremony began with the presence of, among others, Manuel Garvayo, Acting President of the RFGA Children and Youth Committee; Juan Carlos Piñero, Sports Director of Doña Julia Golf Club; and Blanca Hermana, Referee of the competition.
