Expanding horizons

“In times of tribulation, do not make changes,” Ignatius of Loyola advised the members of the Society of Jesus. And surely the recommendation is applicable to any difficult time such as this one; virgencita, virgencita that I stay as I am….

However in this, at least, we have decided not to pay much attention to the Saint and to start a new stage in Andalucía Golf/España Golf: from this issue we will publish a section in Russian in all editions of our magazine.

We are aware that there are still not many Russians who play golf, that this is an incipient market, etc. etc …. But one thing is clear, that the potential is enormous, and that more and more people are playing or starting to play golf from that country. And what is better, most of them with high and very high purchasing power.

The number of residents of this nationality is also increasing day by day, especially in tourist areas, and most of them have among their objectives the practice of this sport, to integrate into a world that fascinates them and that they think can bring them social status.

AG/EG intends to transfer our golf and tourism offer to this emerging market, which we are sure will grow a lot in a few years. In addition to making this section in their language, which will be growing, we will send magazines to Russian clubs and maintain close collaboration and communication with the golf federation of that country.

These are not good times for moving, but it is also true that without taking certain risks you cannot broaden your horizons, and Andalucía Golf/España Golf, in addition to providing a new service to the sector, intends to continue to be its reference publication both online and in print.
