Fernando Padrón has joined Real Club Valderrama as Director of Operations, replacing Eduardo Ruiz, who has been hired by La Manga Club as Director of Golf.
Padrón has extensive experience in golf management, having been director of the Villa Mayor (Salamanca) and Los Angeles de San Rafael (Segovia) golf courses, as well as the knowledge acquired to achieve in 2104 the Diploma on Club Management (DCM) of the European Association of Club Managers, CMAE.
“It is a very exciting step, and a fantastic opportunity to continue learning, nothing less than in the best club in Europe and one of the best in the world, and with an incomparable team of people,” he said, recently landed with his family in Sotogrande.
The Real Golf Valderrama has been wrapped since twenty-five years ago, when it adopted that name (before the golf course was called Las Aves) in an aura of prestige for its commitment to quality. During this time it has hosted the Volvo Masters on sixteen occasions, and the Ryder Cup in 1997. Padrón joins a team of professionals led by Javier Reviriego, Manager of the Year 2012 and member of the Board of Directors of the CMAE, and in which Silvia Serrano has also achieved the DCM degree.
