
The International Championships of Andalusia – played at Río Real Golf – have ended after the celebration of the third round of the Individual Championships, in which the player from El Candado, Gonzalo García, and the member of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Laura Gómez, have won, after maintaining the first positions they already achieved yesterday.
Beginning with the men’s classification, Gonzalo García won with a total of 209 strokes, four strokes ahead of Ángel Hidalgo (Real Club de Golf Guadalmina), who was proclaimed runner-up in the Andalucía Men’s Championship.
In the women’s classification, Laura Gómez took first place with 225 cumulative strokes, four strokes ahead of Carolina Ronchel, a member of the Bellavista Golf Club.
In the second men’s category, the winner was the player of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Alvaro Mueller, with 161 strokes accumulated during the first two rounds. He was followed in second position by the federated Bil Bil Golf, Javier Quero, with 162.
Among the female participants in the second category, Aída González, federated by Zaudín Golf, stood out, first in her classification with 238 strokes. The second place, with 253, has been for the player of La Monacilla, Inmaculada Ortiz.
Finally, as for the handicap winners, the victory went to Lukas Pany (Real Club de Golf Guadalmina), with 204 net strokes, and Marina Escobar (Almerimar Golf), with 208.
It should also be recalled that the pair formed by Angel Hidalgo and Andres Tamayo and the duo formed by Sara Navarro and Rocio Sanchez, won the first places in the International Double Championships of Andalusia with 138 and 142 strokes, respectively.
The awards ceremony was attended by, among others, Ignacio Iturbe, Provincial Delegate of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation in Malaga and Deputy President; Luis Mansilla, President of the RFGA Men’s Committee; Maria Murillo, Member of the RFGA Women’s Committee; Luis Navarro, Director of Rio Real Golf; and Diego Molina, Chief Referee of the championship.
