Gastronomic center
As its director, Ramón Pons, explains to us, a fundamental element in the complete offer of the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús is gastronomy, with an exclusive range of restaurants, all of them open to the public. In what could be called the hotel’s gastronomic boulevard, at the foot of the promenade and just a few meters from the beach, three splendid restaurants follow one another in perfect harmony.
There is Trattoria il Mare, where, in the purest style of Tuscan inns, it offers a menu consisting of classic antipasti, fresh pastas, risottos, pizzas, meats and fish with delicious traditional Italian recipes and a collection of lush desserts. In recognition of its high quality, Trattoria il Mare was chosen last year by Malaga’s gastronomic critics as the best Italian restaurant in the province. Its opening hours are from seven in the evening to half past one in the morning.
La Brasería is another of the restaurants. In this case, charcoal and top quality products are the main exponents of its charcoal cooking, as well as a refined technique of elaboration. The embers are the main actor but not the only one. In addition to the daily offer of sea embers and mountain embers, diners will find a wide range of classic Mediterranean cuisine.
During the summer season there is a program of live musical performances. The restaurant is open from seven in the evening to eleven at night.
The third of the restaurants of the gastronomic boulevard of the Hotel Guadalpín Banús is called Jatame, a name that combines the first syllables of the gastronomies it fuses: Japanese, Thai and Mediterranean.
