The fantastic South Course of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, work of the prestigious designer Javier Arana, has hosted with great success the Tournament Andalucía Golf Challenge, included in the circuit of championships amateurs open that this year celebrates its seventh year and that is disputed during the summer in the best clubs of the Costa del Sol.
This event of the Andalucía Golf Challenge brought together nearly 120 players, among which many nationalities were represented, with a majority of Spaniards.
The amateurs who attended the tournament, promoted by this publication, generally played at a good level and greatly enjoyed of the course, which presented magnificent conditions.
The awards ceremony, on the upper terrace of the club, where a splendid cocktail was served, was presided over by the editor of Andalucía Golf, Antonio Sánchez, the director of the RCG Guadalmina, Ignacio del Cuvillo, and the executive of the company Fairway+Blue Gabriela Johne.
Regarding the sporting results, in the first category, the victory went to Christian Reynders, with 39 points, followed by Luis Mansilla, with 37, and Pablo Marques, with 36.
In the second category, Yamelichau Aliaksandr won with 40 points. Second with 38 points was David Morales, while third place went to María Eugenia Urra, who scored 38.
In the third category, first place went to Jan Policki, with 40 points. Patricia Jiménez was second, with 38 points, and José Antonio Arocha was third, with 37 points.
In the scratch category, the best was Christian Reynders, who won a magnificent painting by the prestigious painter Alejandro Hermann.
The special prize for the closest ball to the flag went to Patricia Thiele, while the longest drives, female and male, went to María José Hidalgo and Francisco Cuevas.
The tournament stood out, apart from the setting of the competition, for the quality of the prizes, which included, among other things, clothing from prestigious brands, TomTom GPS watches and wines from the Somontano D.O.. In addition, all participants received a bottle of Hacienda Montecorto Rueda Verdejo white wine from Bodegas Domecq as a gift.
