His former caddie says Tiger treated him like a slave

While his former boss is recovering from his third back surgery so far this year, Tiger Woods’ former caddie Steve Williams is having a field day with the once undisputed world number one.

Williams presented yesterday his autobiography “Out of Rough” in which he talks about his stormy relationship with Tiger, especially after his sex scandal, and says he was treated like a “slave”.

Williams’ autobiography focuses on her successful partnership with Woods. The duo worked together for 13 years from 1999, during which the Californian won 13 Grand Slam tournaments.

“I had a lot of things to say,” says Williams, who talks in the book about his relationship with Woods, when the scandal of his infidelities broke and his need to explain to his family that he had nothing to do with the life his boss was leading. “It was very difficult for me and for my family,” Williams says.

In the book Williams also refers to the things and behaviors he didn’t like about Tiger Woods. “He was well known for his bad temper and some bad habits that annoyed me like throwing the clubs into the bag for me to pick up later, it was like I was his slave. The other thing that upset me was his habit of spitting in the hole if he missed a putt.”

Despite the bad times, Williams had at least one great satisfaction: financially, since it is estimated that as Tiger’s caddie he pocketed around six million dollars.
