This company of recognized prestige in the real estate world is developing two developments on the Costa del Sol linked to golf courses: Botanic, overlooking Los Arqueros, and Horizon Golf, in La Cala Resort.
Ignacio Oslé, regional director of Taylor Wimpey in Andaucía, says that “our hallmark is that we promote high-end homes in well-established golf and beach environments, with quality standards above the norm, and above all that we offer more than 55 years of experience promoting second homes that meet the requirements of European clients”.
Another of Taylor Wimpey’s advantages over other developers is the security it offers buyers: “We do not start promoting or selling a home until we have all the administrative authorizations so that our clients know with certainty when they will have their home delivered from the very first moment. In addition, during the construction process they receive detailed information on the progress of the works and any help or queries they may need regarding their new home. And finally, we accompany you in the deed process and we make sure that the homes are delivered in good condition and we attend to any incident during the warranty period of the same. We also make sure that the streets and the exterior surroundings are correctly urbanized. This is our social-corporate responsibility, that of a company listed on the FTSE 100 in the United Kingdom; that of one of the largest companies in terms of market capitalization”.
“We are,” Oslé continues, “a company with our own resources that does not need external financing for construction, guaranteeing all the amounts contributed during the purchase process for the new owner’s peace of mind. In short, we offer reliability, seriousness and security. We cannot afford an unsatisfied client, our success is based on word of mouth recommendations from former owners, lawyers, notaries and real estate agents on the Costa del Sol.
“We offer,” adds Taylor Wimpey’s regional director, “a maintenance and advisory service for those people who do not reside here year-round, and the client knows that we are always here and that we respond to all their needs, guiding them in all kinds of matters, especially if they are foreigners and do not manage well in our country.”
The clientele of Taylor Wimpey’s developments on the Costa del Sol, also known as Costa del Golf, is very international, with some twenty nationalities. “The British,” says Oslé, “continue to be important, representing between 20 and 25 percent, and we are already well known in the Scandinavian, Russian, Belgian, Dutch, Spanish, Arab Emirates market… in short, a wide variety of clients. It is worth highlighting the significant increase in the demand from Spaniards for homes in a golf environment this past year due to the good value for money at the beginning of the real estate cycle.
Botanic
It is a development of 90 apartments with spectacular views of the Los Arqueros golf course, close to La Quinta Golf and La Zagaleta, which also enjoys panoramic views of the sea and Gibraltar. All have three bedrooms “with sizes that are unusual on the Costa del Sol,” says Oslé, “and which I call king size, 140-150 square meters and terraces of 60 meters, and with high-end qualities, with floor-to-ceiling windows, high-end carpentry, Siemens integrated kitchens, large format marble … a great equipment for a client who appreciates quality.
“A peculiarity of this project,” he explains, “is that we have protected the forest wealth that we had around us and we have also provided it with an interior botanical garden developed by Carlos Lima that includes trees from the five continents in a walkable forest environment. The development also includes a large 25-meter-long swimming pool for swimming enjoyment.
The first phase, consisting of 30 homes, will be delivered within a year. Prices start at 350,000 euros.
Horizon Golf
The other project Taylor Wimpey is developing is in the heart of the prestigious La Cala Golf Resort in Mijas Costa, which has three 18-hole courses and an academy with 6 short holes. This is a development of 40 townhouses and 48 apartments surrounded by golf courses, with spectacular views of the golf course and Mijas Costa.
The townhouses have three floors, with the possibility of installing an elevator, and start at 420,000 euros. The apartments, all with large terraces, garage space and storage room, start at 280,000 euros for the two-bedroom, 335,000 euros for the three-bedroom and 415,000 euros for the penthouses.
In four months a first phase of twenty townhouses will be delivered, and at the beginning of next year it will be the turn of the first apartments.
