Opened in September 2008, the Hotel Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar is located in one of the best and quietest areas of Marbella, in Elviria, a few meters from the finest sandy beach of the municipality.
Very close to the 5-star luxury hotel, which is only 7 kilometers from the city center, there are bars and restaurants in various areas located between 5 and 15 minutes by car, and the largest shopping center on the Costa del Sol – La Cañada – with numerous boutiques, stores of all kinds, cinemas, etc. is just 10 minutes from the hotel.
For golf lovers, the hotel is the ideal accommodation, as there are more than 40 courses within a 30-minute drive. Guests of the hotel, which has a Golf Desk, benefit from special rates and free transfers to some of them.
Also within walking distance there are several marinas (four in Marbella), such as the famous Puerto Banus with its spectacular yachts, exquisite restaurants and multiple boutiques of top brands, jewelers, etc..
The hotel has 133 elegant and spacious rooms and suites, most of them with spectacular ocean views. There are also four rooms available for the physically handicapped. They are located on the first floor and have direct ramp access to the pool area and garden. There are also connecting rooms (up to four rooms can be joined together).
All rooms have individual hot/cold air conditioning, direct dial telephone, minibar, interactive satellite TV with plasma screen, ADSL Internet connection, piped music and safe deposit box. The bathroom has separate shower and bathtub, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, telephone, a large set of welcome products, bathrobes and slippers.
The hotel has a beach club of more than 5,000 m2 on the golden sand of the beach, which is located just 100 meters from the main entrance of the hotel.
In the beach club located on the same beach, there is the Nammu Areas Spa. It has three different areas: the Sport Area, consisting of a cardiovascular room, weight training, and directed activity rooms; the Thermal Area or individual area with massage cabins, jets, Niagara bath, Jamaica bath, slime and algae wraps, parafango, facial treatments, body treatments and rest area; and the Thermo-Ludic Area or collective area, which offers a thermo-ludic circuit with an active pool, jet pool, walking footbath, peeling showers, hot bench, steam bath, dry sauna, mixed saunas, ice cabin, gravity jets, essence shower, contrast shower, bucket shower, tropical shower and cold mini-pool. The active pool will be equipped with various elements such as water beds, swan neck, geysers, hydromassage chairs, hydromassage jets at different heights, cannon and river area. The beach club will also have a fitness center.
In the hotel itself there is a gym and a small thermal circuit (Nammu Corner Spa) that includes a Jacuzzi, sauna, hamman, ice fountain, peeling shower and contrast cube shower. There are also two cabins for health and beauty treatments (massages, wraps, etc.).
The architecture and decoration of the hotel responds to the clear intention of seeking differentiation from other luxury hotels in the destination, and thus achieve a special atmosphere capable of being appreciated and remembered by the guest of this unique establishment.
The hotel has 15,000 m2 of pleasant gardens with a large number of plant species, fountains, a beautiful gazebo with huge Mediterranean pines and four outdoor swimming pools, one of them heated and another with access for people with reduced mobility, by means of a chair lift that immerses them in the water. In one of the pool areas there are huge Balinese-style hammocks, which invite relaxation and enjoyment, and the Pool Bar is also located there.
The hotel also has three restaurants (one à la carte) and two bars, as well as a mini-club for children.
The hotel stands out for its moderate height and horizontal development respectful of the natural environment, as well as its sober facade, made of beautiful tile bricks, which gives way to an orchard of serenity and recreation in the gardens and interior spaces where water and vegetation abound.
The concept of Islamic architecture can be appreciated, as in the hotel, which is developed between corridors, internal courtyards and compartmentalized interior spaces, seeking to create intimate corners.
In Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar we find elements common to the interiors of the Middle East and even certain palaces in India, where art-deco furniture and local tradition are combined with great freshness, on ornamental tiled floors, windows with white canvases and aged materials, which give the hotel its own personality, its unique character.
Earth tones, stone, gray-green, tobacco and black make up the color palette that will be constantly repeated with subtle variations, creating a very elegant and relaxed atmosphere.
Decorative sgraffiti, slightly reminiscent of the Orient, in natural and muted colors appear in common areas and rooms.
The furnishings include a large number of antiques and original pieces, in addition to others created exclusively for this hotel.
