La Cabaña de Santa Clara Golf Marbella Restaurant

Miguel Ramos, since a few months ago in charge of the restaurant of the Santa Clara Golf Club Marbella, is, without a doubt,  one of the most recognized men in the sector. His relationship with the world of golf began many years ago: first he was caddy master at the Miraflores Golf Club (Mijas), shortly after, in the mid-nineties, he took charge of the club’s restaurant, and after a short period of time outside this world, at the beginning of this new century, he returned to golf to take charge of the restaurant at the Santana Golf Club (Mijas), where he remained for seven years before joining Santa Clara.

“Always trying to open new horizons”, Miguel points out, “we have chosen this emblematic golf club, very close to Marbella town center, because here we have more business prospects and I am sure that we will work better than in previous stages”.

“These facilities” -he continues- “are far superior to the others and with many more possibilities. Everyone knows that Santa Clara Golf Marbella has one of the best clubhouses on the coast, and it is also in a privileged environment”.

Miguel is one of those “restaurateurs” who has a large “club of followers” who, wherever he goes, never lose track of him. Those who have been lucky enough to have eaten in one of his restaurants know that his culinary and service philosophy has never changed, and that he always aims to be at the highest possible level of quality. There are even some who almost consider playing golf as an “excuse” to enjoy their famous linguini frutti di mare, which are unique, or their wide and magnificent variety of meats.

I have some groups,” he says, “who order their entrecôte almost before they have booked the green fee. I’m also very proud of our tapas, the “picoteo”, as I call it, which is unusual in a golf club.

“Now” -he concludes- “for Sundays this summer, although we will see if we continue later, we have made a package with the club consisting of green fee and buggy, plus paella and  drinks for only 70 Euros”.

What better day than a Sunday to play golf and eat paella!
