Despite the threat of rain, 191 players joined to enjoy a splendid day, without water or heat, and the fantastic course of La Dehesa Golf.
The course, designed by three-time World Champion and Ryder Cup player Manuel Piñero, is a delight for all levels of players, and runs through a natural environment typical of the proximities of the Madrid mountains, without buildings and with great vegetation.
It has two quite distinct laps: the first is less hilly, while the second is more technical and treasures corners of great beauty and spectacularity.we must highlight the professionalism, kindness and dedication of the entire team of this magnificent club, from Amparo Jarné, with whom it is a pleasure to collaborate, Carlos Hernán in charge of sports management and Raul with great willingness from the position of caddy master.
Consecutive outings were made from very early in the morning. In the passage from the first to the second round the players enjoyed an excellent refreshment, with a ham and salmorejo sandwich, a banana and water, served by the club’s restaurant masterfully directed by Goyo.
In addition to the cafeteria option, the restaurant itself is a safe recommendation. They have a great menu and a menu of the day with starters and main courses that competes with the best clubs in Madrid.
The course was in magnificent condition, despite the heavy rain of the previous night when more than 30 liters per square meter were collected. The greens were impeccable and all players appreciated the good condition of the course.

The scratch and first and second category winners won a place in the final of the Circuit organized by Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine, where the fabulous five trips to the Riviera Maya will be decided next October.
As for the results of the tournament, the scratch winner was Jesús Gil Martínez, with 37 scratch points. In the first category, the winner was Santiago Yuste Morenowith 38 stableford points, followed by Juan Manuel Rodríguez Tello and Marcos Guisado Silva, both with 37 points. In second category the winner was Gab Sik Han Hongwith 45 points, followed by Marcos González Moreno and Gerard Xavier Vaque Lluis, both with 44 points.

In addition to the prizes for the first three classified in each category and the scratch winner, there were two special prizes for the closest ball, on the 9th hole the winner was Antonio Quintana Velascowhile on the 13th hole, the closest ball was registered by Miguel Melgar Rodríguez.
This tournament completes the first 11 of the almost thirty tournaments that make up the thirteenth edition of the Andalucía Golf Challenge ‘Destino PGA Riviera Maya by Bahía Príncipe’, an open amateur circuit organized by the Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine. The circuit will cover all the Andalusian provinces, as well as others in central Spain, with most of the events taking place on the Costa del Sol, on top-level courses.
The grand final of the circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Mexican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on September 30 in Almenara and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.
Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of the Benahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.
The next tournament of the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit will be played on Saturday, June 10 at the Marbella Club Golf Resort course.

DESTINATION PGA RIVIERA MAYA by BAHÍA PRÍNCIPE
The Grand Final of the Circuit will determine the five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Bahia Principe resort in Riviera Maya with golf at PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleon Mayakoba and Playa Paraiso. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on September 30 in Almenara, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean.
