A total of 160 players teed up in the 14th annual edition of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE-Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia Circuit in the latest leg played at the magnificent La Dehesa course in Madrid.

The course was in excellent condition, following improvements overseen by the new manager, Abel Jiménez. The greens were at a speed 10.5 feet and free rolling.

Players teed off consecutively from the first tee starting at 7.15 am. At the beginning of the day conditions were tough, with wind, overcast skies and a cold ambience. As the day progressed, conditions improved noticeably, with the wind stopping, the sun coming out and high temperatures.

At the 10th tee the players enjoyed a snack that included delicious ham “pulguitas” (sandwich rolls) and San Miguel beers – which also awaited them at the end of their rounds.

The Circuit organisers would like to express their gratitude for the support of all the club staff, with a special mention for Amparo Jarné, always attentive to details, and sports director Carlos Hernán, assisted in a magnificent way by the two Raúls (father and son), who were the starters.
