The attractive and challenging Mar y Pinos de Novo Sancti Petri course was once again the splendid venue for one of the rounds of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE 'Destino República Dominicana by Globalia' Circuit, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition.

The tournament was, as in previous years, a great success, closing registrations almost a week before the event.

The course was in perfect condition and play took place in very good weather, with a light and fresh westerly breeze.

The layout had one hole, the 6th, a par 4, with a provisional green that was in as good condition as the rest of the greens, playing this hole as a par 3. The redesign of the hole, the signature hole of the course, is being carried out jointly by Manolo Piñero and Alfonso Vidaor and the result promises to be excellent.

Presented by the club's manager, Rafael Hernández Alcalá, the prize-giving ceremony was accompanied by an excellent cocktail, with San Miguel beers for all present. The prize giving was followed by a prize draw.

The organisation expresses its special thanks to the work and kindness of Odalis Gómez Reyes, who managed the event impeccably.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organised by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit covers all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on 28th September at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.

The next rounds of the Circuit will take place on 11th August at La Cala Resort-Campo Asia and 15th at El Paraíso.

The Grand Final of the Circuit will decide the 5 one week trips with flights, all inclusive accommodation at the 5 star hotel Sunscape Dominicus La Romana and golf at the spectacular Teeth of the Dog, Punta Espada, Dye Fore and PGAOcean's 4. The Grand Final will be played on 28th September and will be followed by a Gala Dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús *****.

All players on the Tour will be able to participate in the draw for 2 extra places to accompany the 5 winners of the trips to the Dominican Republic.
