The beautiful Asia course at La Cala Resort has been a fantastic venue for one of the rounds of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE 'Destino República Dominicana by Globalia' Circuit, which, as usual in this fourteenth edition, was once again sold out in advance.

Asia is the oldest course at the great Costa del Sol resort and the one that offers the most birdie options for everyone, given that it is not a particularly long course. The bermuda greens were in immaculate condition, as was the rest of the course, which was exceptionally well presented.

All players were provided with buggies and refreshed during the hot day with San Miguel beers and Solán de Cabras water both on the course and at the end of the round. A cocktail reception was served for the prize giving, which was presented by Alejandro Núñez from the Operations team at La Cala Resort.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organised by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit covers all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on 28th September at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.

The next rounds of the Circuit will take place on 15th August at El Paraíso and 18th at Playa Serena.

TRIP TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Grand Final of the Circuit will decide the 5 one week trips with flights, all inclusive accommodation at the 5 star hotel Sunscape Dominicus La Romana and golf at the spectacular Teeth of the Dog, Punta Espada, Dye Fore and PGAOcean's 4. The Grand Final will be played on 28th September and will be followed by a Gala Dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús *****.

All players on the Tour will be able to participate in the draw for 2 extra places to accompany the 5 winners of the trips to the Dominican Republic.
