The spectacular course of El Paraíso, designed by the legendary player Gary Player, winner of 9 majors, has been the venue for one of the rounds of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ Circuit, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition .

The course was in excellent condition and the day's play was played with a light breeze and milder temperatures than on previous days.

There was a full house, with 100 players in the morning with consecutive tee-offs from holes 1 and 10 and 80 players in the afternoon with a shotgun start at 3:30.

The organisation of the Tour is grateful for the attentions of the sports director, Robert Hall, who was attentive at all times to ensure the perfect functioning of the course and the operation.

At the end of the afternoon round, the prize-giving ceremony took place, with wines from the Marqués de Terán winery and clothes from the prestigious Fairway + Blue shop located in Puerto Banús.

The fairways of El Paraíso Golf Club, inaugurated in 1973, are wide and easy to walk, so the golfer enjoys a beautiful landscape thanks to its large number and variety of trees and vegetation. The water hazards are of great importance because of the beauty they add to the course and because there are dangerous streams hidden in the rough. The location is very good, in the heart of the Costa del Golf, between two of the Costa del Sol's golfing towns par excellence: Marbella and Estepona. In addition to its magnificent course, El Paraiso is known for being one of the most socially active clubs on the Costa del Sol. The club is managed by one of the great professionals in the sector, David Ramos.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organised by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit covers all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on 28th September at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.

The next rounds of the Circuit will take place on 18th at Playa Serena and 28th at La Hacienda Links.

The Grand Final of the Circuit will decide the 5 one week trips with flights, all inclusive accommodation at the 5 star hotel Sunscape Dominicus La Romana and golf at the spectacular Teeth of the Dog, Punta Espada, Dye Fore and PGAOcean's 4. The Grand Final will be played on 28th September and will be followed by a Gala Dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús *****.

All players on the Tour will be able to participate in the draw for 2 extra places to accompany the 5 winners of the trips to the Dominican Republic.
