The XIV San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ Circuit already has winners: the Spaniards Domingo Gavira Esquivel, Jose María Gil Osorio, Mayte Castro Delma and José Labella Martínez and the Norwegian Olav Andreas Maaland.

Los Arqueros, in the Costa del Sol municipality of Benahavís, was the setting for the grand finale of the Tour, which this year has been played on 24 Spanish courses, among them some of the best in the world, such as Real Club Valderrama, Finca Cortesín and Real Club Sevilla Golf.

A hundred players, classified directly by winning the tournaments of the Tour or through the Benahavís Ranking (cumulative points by result in each event), met in the magnificent setting of Los Arqueros, a technical course designed by the legendary Severiano Ballesteros. At times the wind blew with relative intensity, which made the game difficult.

The final prizes are five one-week golf trips to the Dominican Republic with Air Europa flights, play on the Punta Espada, Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and PGA Ocean's 4 courses and accommodation at the five-star Sunscape Dominicus La Romana hotel, set on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean.

The trips were awarded to the scratch, first and second place winners, as well as the runners-up in both categories. They were, in that order, Domingo Gavira (36 scratch points), Jose María Gil (38), Mayte Castro (38), Olav Andreas Maaland (36) and José Labella (35). Two of these winners (Mayte and Olav) played with Autoflex shafts, one of the collaborating companies of the Circuit.

In the evening, the Gala Dinner was held at the Alanda Marbella Hotel, an extraordinary five-star hotel located in the famous Golden Mile of Marbella, which put an end to the 2024 Circuit.

The awards ceremony was attended by Javier Cochón and Jesús Núñez from Cervezas San Miguel, Renée Kachler from Turismo Costa del Sol, Gabriela Jones from Fairway+blue, Jesús Porro from inversionesparavagos.com, and Luis Navarro and Antonio Sánchez from the organisation of the San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit.

After the prize-giving ceremony, an extra place was drawn among all the finalists to accompany the winners to the Caribbean, which went to César Gómez González. A number of people who have booked the holiday package created for this purpose to accompany the winners will also travel to the Dominican Republic.
