Lauro Golf celebrates its 25th anniversary this September and does so with a calendar full of activities in which its customers can enjoy renovated facilities. In addition to sports activities, various golf championships of the highest level, paddle championship and Andalusian Lawn Bowls Championship, those interested can compete in the first photography contest of Lauro Golf and participate in a gastronomic test in the new restaurant area of the resort.
This Malaga resort, located between the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas and the Guadalhorce valley, has a quarter of a century of activity in which it has continued its progression based on environmentally sustainable development. However, Lauro Golf has been recognized as a federated entity by the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation for twenty-six years, since it obtained this recognition months before starting its commercial activity.
To celebrate such an important date, various commemorative events have been organized in which all the active parts of the resort will participate, hence the wide variety of activities with which the Laurino club celebrates these twenty-five years. Golf is the highlight of the Malaga resort, so it has focused its efforts on organizing several championships in its twenty-seven holes during this month.
The golfing activities began with a match between the Spanish U-18 golf team and the Italian team of the same age range, which was played on 5 and 6 as a prelude to the highlight of the club’s sports agenda during this month.
Continuing its commitment to support the young promises of the sport, Lauro Golf is once again hosting a top-level championship of the national junior categories. Between on September 7 and 10 takes place the International Championship of Spain U-18 where the best European players up to 18 years old meet. It is a good opportunity to find out which will be the future stars of European golf, the successors of Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson or Søren Kjeldsen.
This important national event is joined by the International Championship of Andalusia Interclubs Children and Cadet during the 16th and 17th of September. Again this event will bring to Lauro Golf the best Andalusian golfers, under the modality of team play, under sixteen years old. This championship of Andalusia comes as a result of the celebration of the Championship of Spain Interclubs that was held in the facilities of Lauro Golf last year.
The icing on the golfing calendar will be the 25th Anniversary Championship to be held on September 30, coinciding with the presentation of the new facilities both in the catering area and in the caddy master and store. This 25th Anniversary Championship will be the perfect opportunity for both club members and all golf players to come to the Andalusian resort and enjoy the improvements in the facilities of this emblematic course in Malaga.
The offer of sports activities is not only focused on golf. Paddle lovers can also commemorate the twenty-five years of Lauro Golf with a championship in his honor during the next September 30, coinciding with the same celebration on the golf course and in the new restaurant area. Also, the Lauro Golf lawn bowls club will host the Andalusian championship on September 22nd and 30th.
In addition, Lauro Golf has designed a calendar to complement the sports activities, organizing for the first year two events focused on those customers who want to have a different experience in its facilities. Thus, the first Lauro Golf photography contest is born, which invites customers to submit a maximum of two photographs per person set in the resort facilities and with a deadline of one to twenty September.
Likewise, the new restaurant area will be the chosen setting for the first gastronomic contest held at the resort. Subscribers and friends of Lauro Golf will be able to demonstrate their culinary skills under the watchful eye of the resort’s new chef, who will preside over the jury during the competition.
