LOS ARQUEROS GOLF, SPLENDID SETTING FOR THE FIRST ANDALUCIA GOLF OPEN TOURNAMENT BY BRIDGESTONE GOLF AND HOLIDAY GOLF

Los Arqueros Golf Club was the magnificent setting last Saturday, December 14th, for the first Andalucía Golf Open by Bridgestone Golf and Holiday Golf tournament. It was a different tournament from those usually organized by our magazine since the modality was Texas Scramble in pairs, a fun type of competition that allows you to “share” the successes and mistakes with your partner. allows you to “share” the successes and mistakes with your playing partner.

With a perfect weather, sunny, windless, and with a very pleasant temperature, 44 couples met in this course located in the municipality of Benahavis. which was in perfect playing conditions. Both those who did not know the course and those who have played it before at Los Arqueros agreed in praising the course. the careful maintenance of the fairways and greens of this course, which rightfully boasts of being one of the courses that pays the most attention to sustainability and environmental care. care for the environment.

After the competition, very close, by the way, and before the awards ceremony, a lunch was served on the terrace of the club: a splendid paella that delighted everyone. The tournament was sponsored by Holiday Golf, the largest distributor of golf products in southern Europe, and the prizes for the winners and most of the many gifts were awarded to the winners. most of the many gifts of the raffle were from Bridgestone: bags, balls, caps and visors, clubs, etc…

The first classified couple, with no less than 53 points, was composed by Ramón Pons Quintana and Nicolás Polit Macaya. With 50 points they were classified in second position Francis Whelans and Dean Cox. Also with 50 points, in third place in the table (due to the handicap difference with the runners up) were Karina Budantseva and Kripaytite Svetlan Valentinouna.

The awards ceremony was presided over by Stefan Tjellander, president of Holiday Golf and Antonio Lantero, director of Los Arqueros. On behalf of Andalucía Golf, they were accompanied by Luis Navarro, president of Andalucía Golf. and Antonio Sanchez.

Los Arqueros has initiated a major renovation project, about to be completed, both of the clubhouse and other facilities that will make this club one of the leading clubs on the Costa del Sol.
