Los Arqueros: like fine wines

Los Arqueros Golf is 25 years old. Of these, I have had the privilege of being its director for the last 15 years. Many things have happened in this time.

Located in the most luxurious Marbella, Los Arqueros has evolved slowly but surely, investing millions of euros drop by drop, to become what it is today: a course that, according to the visiting players, surprises and excites. A real reward for our efforts.

This is mainly due to the fact that our equipment is probably among the best, even above some renowned golf courses. One of the many proofs of this is the implementation of one of the first environmental systems for golf courses in Spain. In addition, Los Arqueros achieved in 2005 other certifications that no other golf course in Spain had, such as the OHSAS, unknown to most golf courses, all of which adds up to many suppliers endorsing us time and time again. This makes us different. Technically, I think we are superior. All these factors come together in Los Arqueros Golf today.

In 2006 we became a membership club: we sold some 350 shares of golf property in just two months. That’s spectacular. And, although we are still a commercial club, members enjoy more than 150 competitions a year, private social events in the private areas of the clubhouse and other special things like the Barbecue and Country Rice to which we invite almost every month of the year to all members in our outdoor Chiringuito, where everything, everything, is free (what they call “Members BBQ Meetup”). The latter is not something usual in other golf courses, so here we also add extra points by innovating in the attention to our members.

And, as if all this were not enough, we are a product of Severiano Ballesteros. One of the greats. Great, great. His design is unique. Undoubtedly there is a very good mix here. A special mix that makes us different. Something to taste and that surprises. Like good wines after 25 years in barrels.
