Maioris golf tournament: last qualifying leg of the Andalucía Golf Challenge

The Maioris golf tournament closed the qualifying stage of the SAN MIGUEL XVI CIRCUITO ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE COSTA DEL SOL DESTINO REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA BY GLOBALIA with a splendid day in Mallorca, the last one before the eagerly awaited Final on 19 September at Hacienda Alcaidesa Heathland. Cervezas San Miguel, the circuit’s main sponsor, once again looked after the players on and off the course at an event that left a wonderful taste in the mouth.

Maioris waves goodbye to the circuit’s qualifying stage

Once again, the circuit said farewell to its qualifying stage at Maioris, where the organisation is welcomed with open arms and the treatment is always first class. The Maioris golf tournament was played with the Mallorcan sun shining over one of the most natural and interesting courses in the islands, a setting that invites you to play and to enjoy the surroundings from start to finish.

The organisation would like to thank Juana Genestra and her whole team for their attentiveness throughout the day, a detail that repeats edition after edition and explains why the Maioris golf tournament has become such a treasured stop on the circuit’s calendar.

Players were able to cool off with Cervezas San Miguel and Solán de Cabras water, both at two points on the course and in the clubhouse, before the prize presentation and the gift raffle that rounded off the day.

Scratch and category winners

The best scratch result of the Maioris golf tournament went to Javier Gómez Polo, who took the no-handicap prize with 31 points. These were all the winners:

2. Sofía Vdovina — 39 points
3. Adrián Bes Garau — 36 points

Second Category

1. Miguel Ángel Isasi Montojo — 38 points
2. Sandra Villameriel García — 38 points
3. Miguel Mirko Pons Pfefferkorn — 37 points

The 42 points of Francisco Ramírez Naranjo were the best card of the day, while the second category was settled between two players tied on 38 points.

Closest-to-the-pin prizes

The Maioris golf tournament also handed out the closest-to-the-pin prizes on several holes of the course:

• Hole 3 (Bridgestone balls, Tiger edition): Sandra Villameriel García.
• Hole 8 (Smart Golf book, by Jésica Reyes): Miguel Ángel Isasi Montojo.
• Hole 11 (Bridgestone balls, Tiger edition): Antonio Marqués Moragues.
• Hole 13 (Bridgestone balls, Tiger edition): René Jabroer.

Hole 2 also had its closest-to-the-pin prize, courtesy of the Dolce Vita Restaurant at the Occidental Puerto Banús.

The Grand Final places already have their owners

With the Maioris golf tournament, every place for the Final is now assigned, both those earned through the winners’ direct qualification and those handed out by Costa del Sol Ranking order. The quota is closed and the circuit is set for its big date.

At that Final, besides the five winners of the golf trip to the Dominican Republic, one more trip will be raffled among the 95 non-winning finalists and another among every player who took part in the circuit in this 2026 edition. That is, seven trips at stake to close the season in style.

The Final will be played on 19 September at Hacienda Alcaidesa Heathland, with a closing dinner at the Occidental Puerto Banús hotel. Many of the players who came through the Maioris golf tournament will be there chasing their ticket to the Caribbean.
