New success for the Marbella Club Golf Resort event, with players on the waiting list who were unable to enjoy this magnificent course and an excellent day after a week of rain.
The rains did not affect the course, which could be played without any limitations.
This design by Dave Thomas (author, among others, of San Roque Old and The Belfry, Ryder Cup course) is one of the great courses of Benahavís and the Costa del Sol, masterfully directed by Rod Bastard, a regular contributor to our publication.
The players were provided with buggies and practice balls courtesy of the club and were impeccably attended by Salvador López Perea, who was attentive to the players’ needs at all times.
It is an exclusive resort that fits perfectly with one of the best and most reputable hotels on the Costa del Sol, as is the accredited Marbella Club on the golden mile of Marbella.
After the game, a wonderful cocktail was served by the caterers of Delicias Gourmet Group who offered their quality product and service as only they know how to do.
Once again, the best golf fashion store in the area, Fairway + Blue, presented the winners with garments from its store located in Puerto Banús.

The scratch, first and second category winners won a place in the final of the Circuit organized by Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine, where the fabulous five trips to the Riviera Maya will be decided next October.

This tournament completes the first thirteen of the almost thirty tournaments that make up the thirteenth edition of the Andalucía Golf Challenge ‘Destino PGA Riviera Maya by Bahía Príncipe’, an open amateur circuit organized by the Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine. The circuit will cover all the Andalusian provinces, as well as others in central Spain, with most of the events taking place on the Costa del Sol, on top-level courses.
The grand final of the circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Mexican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on September 30 in Almenara and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.
Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of the Benahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.
After the appointment in Marbella Club Golf Resort, the Circuit will be played in La Quinta on Wednesday , June 21 and in Zagaleta New on Saturday, June 24.

DESTINATION PGA RIVIERA MAYA by BAHÍA PRÍNCIPE
The Grand Final of the Circuit will determine the five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Bahia Principe resort in Riviera Maya with golf at PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleon Mayakoba and Playa Paraiso. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on September 30 in Almenara, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean.
