Marcus Svensson triumphs at the REALE Spanish U-16 Championship

Real Club de Golf Guadalmina’s player Marcus Svensson has won the victory in the Spanish Championship Sub-16 REALE 2014which has been disputed over three days in the magnificent facilities of La Cala Resort (Mijas Coast, Malaga). Svensson , who reached the lead at the end of the second day after a round of 71 strokes (-1), has delivered the best card in this third and final day (70 strokes), to finish with a total of 214 strokes and a lead of three over the Spaniard. Joan Touswho with his 71 strokes has been second in the classification overall, which means that, in application of the rules, is proclaimed champion of Spain. Sub-16.

Next, it is worth highlighting the brilliant performance of the infantile Gonzalo Leal. The player from the Centro Especializado de Tecnificación Tecnificación Deportiva (CETD) of La Cañada, has finished in third place, in his case runner-up of Spain U-16, thanks to a last round of 74 strokes.

The golfer, federated by the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla accumulated 219 strokes (73+72+74), five more than Marcus Svensson.

Also in the Top 10 was Antonio José Bejarano from Cordoba. Bejarano(Pozoblanco Golf Pozoblanco), eighth with 224 strokes.

As for the women’s race, the Navarrese Elena Elena Hualdewho started the final 18 holes at four strokes behind Alejandra Pasarínmanaged to beat the Asturian with a round of 70 strokes to take a hard-earned and well-deserved victory by a single stroke over the Valencian Marta Perezwho with 68 strokes, the best result of the day, has climbed to second place.

Ana Peláez, from Malaga Pelaez (Golf Río Real), eighth, was the best Andalusian with an overall score of 220 strokes (70+75+75).

Among the top ten finishers was also the Malaga native Sara García (El Paraíso Golf Club) with three rounds of 75, 72 and 74 strokes.
