
The emblematic layout of the Parador de Málaga Golf has welcomed more than 100 participants who have played the sixth round of the Andalusian Seniors Circuit 2014, played in three categories -two gentlemen and one ladies- to 18 holes and under the Stableford Handicap modality.
In the only ladies’ category, Brigitte Nitschke topped the list – thanks to an accumulated 40 points – followed by Chelo Zafra in second place and Mª Pilar van Dulken in third place, with 36 and 35 points each.
For his part, Enrique Flores Ibáñez was the winner in the first men’s category, with another 40 points, ahead of Juan Montero and Manuel Pérez, who are in second and third place respectively, tied with 39 points. The victory in the second men’s category was won by Antonio Aguilera, who equaled the champions of the other two categories, also with 40 points. The silver, with 38, went to José A. Salcedo and the bronze, with 37, to Francisco Redondo.
After a lunch held in the Albatros Room of the Parador de Málaga, the awards ceremony was held in the presence of Ignacio Iturbe, Provincial Delegate in Malaga and Deputy President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Francisco Cervilla, President of the Seniors Committee and Vocal of Foreigners of the Federation; and Indalecio Ballesta, Secretary of the Parador de Málaga de Golf.
Francisco Cervilla has taken the floor to thank on behalf of the Federation to the Parador for the excellent reception they have given to the Circuit. He also thanked the players for their participation.
Ignacio Iturbe highlighted the support that the Federation has always wanted to give to the Senior group and congratulated the Parador for the excellent state of the course.
The Senior Circuit of Andalusia celebrates this year its seventeenth edition and has always enjoyed a great reception among the players. The next event is scheduled for September 13 in El Rompido, Huelva.
