Oxcala the customizable lifesaver
It is an essential element in any place where there is a risk of drowning in the water, and it is more than necessary, it is not superfluous that it is also aesthetically pleasing to the eye. With this premise was born Oxcala, a Swedish company that designs and markets lifeguards for swimming pools, beaches, boats… and golf courses with ponds or lakes.
Jonas Petrini’s words about Oxcala
“Our mission is to save lives with a touch of water,” says Jonas Petrini Jaldborg, founder and CEO of the company.
“Whether on the beach, on the pier, in the pool at home, the hotel or a beach club, on the boat or on a golf course,” explains the Swedish entrepreneur, “our lifeguards are available in two sizes, one for private use and one for common and public places.”
Oxcala, what is it about?
Oxcala designs and sells high quality lifejackets and accessories made in Sweden and with a high degree of customization. Thus, you can choose the color of the four ribbons that are attached to the white body of the lifejacket and also the text that will be printed on it, thus enhancing the style of each person or company.
The idea for Oxcala came about in 2010 when founder Jonas asked for a life preserver for his seaside home in Smarholmen, Onsala, southwest of Gothenburg, Sweden. He wanted a beautiful and functional float, and preferably with a lot of style. It turned out that there was only one supplier and he only had lifebuoys in one color. So the idea was born to create a customizable lifebuoy that would enhance each person’s own style without compromising safety.

Jonas’ family put together their minds, their passion for the maritime life in the archipelago and their many years of professional experience in sales and marketing and thus began the entrepreneurial adventure by creating and launching the Oxcala brand, the uniquely designed lifejacket manufactured in Sweden.
The Oxcala variety, nowalso influential in golf
This year, the “golf green”, specially designed for golf courses, has been added to the brand’s original range of colors.
Oxcala lifeguards are already being seen in premium hotels, beach clubs, golf clubs, restaurants and other businesses that want to differentiate themselves from the competition by adding style to their pools and lakes.
