Two elite sportsmen, the Spanish Paul Gasol and the Welsh Gareth Bale, and a world famous chef, the Spanish José Andrés, have disputed the mixed test that serves as an ‘appetizer’ to the great duels that the professionals will settle from tomorrow, Friday, on the famous course that hosted the Ryder Cup in 1997.
The award-winning Catalan basketball player has had the privilege of playing with Jon Rahm on the front nine and with Dean Burmester on the back nine. The Welsh footballer who once wore the Real Madrid shirt played with Bryson DeChambeau and Hudson Swafford, and the acclaimed Asturian chef and his fellow amateurs played with Carlos Ortiz.
Also participating in the proam were Jon Rahm’s father and brother, Edorta and Eriz Rahm, both in the same team and with professionals Charl Schwartzel and Caleb Suratt.
