The magnificent course of Playa Serena, designed by Peter Allis and Ángel Gallardo in the Almeria municipality of Mojácar, has once again hosted one of the tournaments of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ Circuit, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition.

The playing field of Playa Serena, a club managed by Francisco Javier Martín Mendoza, is in excellent condition all year round. It is characterized by wide fairways, nine lakes and greens well defended by carefully designed bunkers.
The course has a very flat orography, its course is very comfortable and its main difficulty lies in the long holes and the design of the greens.
A great variety of genuine Mediterranean vegetation predominates throughout the course. The perimeter is made up of transparencies, tamarisks and mimosas. In the rough and landscaped areas we find Aleppo pines, eucalyptus, palm trees, olive trees, oleanders, plumeras, bungavillas and palmettos pistósforos.
It should be noted that after the competition, the participants enjoyed a spectacular cocktail by Michelin star chef José Álvarez.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit runs through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.
The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on September 28 at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.
Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.
The next appointments of the Circuit in August will be the 28th in La Hacienda Links and the 31st in Chaparral.

TRIP TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Grand Final of the Circuit will decide the winners of the 5 one-week trips with flights, all-inclusive accommodations at the 5-star hotel Sunscape Dominicus La Romana and golf at the spectacular Teeth of the Dog, Punta Espada, DyeFore y PGA Ocean’s 4. The Grand Final will take place on September 28th and will be followed by a Gala Dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús*****.
All Circuit players will be able to participate in the draw for 2 extra places to accompany the 5 winners of the trips to the Dominican Republic.
