Precise Resort El Rompido, the five-star resort, spa and golf club reference in Huelva, will resume its activity this week, from June 19, after months of closure as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. To this end, the establishment has activated the relevant protocols in order to adapt to the recommendations established by the health authorities and thus ensure safe stays for its guests.
Among the measures implemented, which show the group’s attention to detail, is the reinforcement of the daily cleaning of the common areas, the rooms – with special attention to the disinfection of taps and door knobs – and the spa. In the outdoor swimming pools, sun loungers will be placed in compliance with the safety distance, while in the restaurant, together with the regulation of the permitted capacity, a buffet service will be installed with the assistance of the kitchen staff to prevent the handling of objects of common use. And in order to meet the requirements of the new reality, the 150 or so employees of the complex will be equipped with the recommended PPE. In addition, as part of the regular training program, a COVID-19 prevention course was held for professionals in the tourism sector.
In spite of the exceptional character that will frame the coming season, it is expected that this summer the national vacation tourism will settle again in the resort, especially families and couples coming from Andalusia and, once the total mobility is recovered, also from Extremadura, Madrid, Basque Country and Portugal, following the trends registered in previous years. For the last quarter of the year, on the other hand, the international market is expected to reactivate, particularly the British, Nordic, German and French markets, mainly in the golf segment.
“We have recently noticed a resurgence in the desire to travel, which has been reflected over the last week in a considerable increase in bookings for the summer. Looking ahead to autumn, we are confident that international golf tourism will revive, which will be boosted by the gradual opening of borders,” said Raquel Galvan, commercial director of Precise Resort El Rompido.
