Rahm leads Farmers with a masterful 10-under-par performance

Jon Rahm, with an extraordinary round of 62 strokes, 10 under par, leads the Farmers Insurance Open after the first day, in which Tiger Woods, with 70 strokes, has fallen behind and far from the lead in his first tournament of the season.

Rahm, who signed his first major victory on the US PGA Tour in the 2017 edition at this tournament and is the current world No. 7, finished the North course at Torrey Pines with two eagles, seven birdies and one bogey, one ahead of England’s Justin Rose and American Doug Ghim, who share second place.

Woods did not meet expectations and finished in 53rd place with a disappointing 70 strokes, complicating his chances of victory from the first day.
